Year One, Week Thirty

Trunk or Treat

In lieu of trick-or-treating, 

we took the boys Trunk or Treating at a friend's church.

It was much easier and faster for the boys (Kason especially) 

to walk from car to car instead of house to house.

They got a lot of compliments on their costumes!

 

Super K!

 Kason got to wear this SUPER cool costume almost all day! 

Adorable, and super comfy too.

(One of my Super crafty friends made it for her Super K last year, 

and generously passed it on to us this year.)

Halloween Preview

The boys tried on their costumes tonight,
in anticipation of the big day tomorrow!

Halloween spoiler!  Hinton was excited to get to wear his costume tonight to a Harvest Party at his preschool.  And Kason was SUPER excited to see Hinton in his costume, waving at him and following him around saying "PO!  PO!  PO!"  Brandon and I were both cracking up.

Ack!  After weeks of being on the ball, I forgot to take Kason's photos yesterday.

Can't Get Me!

Brandon put Kason up on Hinton's bed.  Which Kason loved.  And then Brandon had to coax Kason over close enough so that he could reach him to get him back down.  Which took awhile.

18 months old, and Kason is already asking to use the potty!

Until I actually put him up there, which kind of freaked him out.

And yes, he is still wearing his diaper.

Hinton's House

This year Hinton's first sharing time for preschool came with an assignment to do at home.  We were given a yellow house and asked to answer some questions and share some photos.  This is what Hinton's final project looked like:

Unpack, Repack

I decided it was finally time to unpack our (non)Canada suitcases tonight.  Kason promptly "repacked" this one for me.

Year Four, Month Eleven

"Eggs!"

Just one more word Kason reminded me that he knew this morning . . . as he "helped" me unload the groceries after I went shopping.

Kason says:

Kason had his 18 month check-up yesterday.  His doctor asked how many words he was saying.  I stopped to think about it, and she asked if I thought it was more or less than eight.  Which made me laugh.  Here's a sampling of the words he said today:

While at the appointment yesterday Kason pointed out a book, which surprised his doctor.  Then she told Kason she was going to check his eyes.  "Eyes," he repeated, and pointed at his eyes.  To which his doctor said that this was the most impressive 18-month check-up she's ever had. (!)

Setniker Farms Pumpkin Patch

Hinton's preschool took a Pumpkin Patch fieldtrip this morning.

Kason took a dirt swim.  On purpose.
