Impromptu Soccer Game

We played an impromptu game of soccer this afternoon
after Brandon "and Hinton" mowed the lawn.

On his way to make a goal!

New Bed, Part 1

Pretending to sleep where their new beds will be.

And then it was time to do the chicken dance, of course.

Kason got to nap in his "new" bed.  But Hinton's new mattress has to "breathe" for 48 hours before he can sleep on it (which we did not realize beforehand), so he still has to wait a couple more days to try out his new bed.

Clownface

is what Brandon dubbed Kason's spaghettiness.

Tasty Play Doh

The boys played with Play Doh this afternoon.

It was the first time I let Kason play with it too.

I tried to tell him not to eat it . . .
Think he believes me now?
Nope, he's got to try again.
That good, huh?

No worries, it's non-toxic.  :-)

"Stuck!"

One of Kason's new words.
He uses it accurately, and multiple times each day.

Kason, Year One, Week Twenty-Three

The Puzzler

Hinton has been doing 100-piece puzzles for awhile now, but did his first 150-piece puzzle all by himself this afternoon while Kason was napping.  (Which the box says is for ages 6+.)  This kid loves his puzzles!

He was soooo excited to be going back.

He is showing off his Star Wars backpack.

Finding his cubby.

Time for class!

Kason, Year One, Week Twenty-Two

Notice he is wearing a very small Woody (Toy Story) hat on his head.

Kid Questionnaire

This was going around FB a few years ago.  I looked it up and asked Hinton the following questions this afternoon:

Kid's Questionnaire

Ask your child to answer the questions and type their answers in. Kids say the darndest things!! :-)

1. What is something mom always says to you?

No.   (Me:  I always say no?  Hinton:  If I’m not being a good listener.)

2. What makes mom happy?

If I am a good listener.

3. What makes mom sad?

If I am cranky at you.

4. How does your mom make you laugh?

By laughing!  And being silly.

5. What was your mom like as a child?

You were the same.

6. How old is your mom?

I don’t know.  (Me:  You’re  4.  How old does that make me?  Hinton:  44?)

7. How tall is your mom?

I don’t know.  And I don’t know how to guess.  How many inches are you?

8. What is her favorite thing to watch on TV?

The View

9. What does your mom do when you're not around?

Look for me.

10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?

I think on Star Wars.  The mom kinds.

Jumping and laughing

16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?

A Big Bad Wolf!  Hahaha!  Or maybe Princess Leia in Star Wars.
